Aid and Comfort

Just over a year ago, I offered a blog post regarding the insurrection of January 6^th, 2021.  I titled my thoughts, It’s Treason Stupid!and I made a case that the behaviors of our former President, several Senators and Representatives and various media persons were best described as Treason.

Now, we have witnessed an invasion of Ukraine by Russian military forces.  Many of the talking heads feign surprise that President Vladimir Putin ordered the attack, but their surprise is rooted in their belief that President Putin is motivated by a value system like our own.  So, the first think that we must understand is that President Putin is not thinking or acting like we would in these circumstances.  His value system is not like ours.  We must come to grips with this important difference and start to reconsider our expectations of his future actions.

As to those treasonous Americans from a year ago, we must hear what they say today and evaluate their words and deeds in the light of the war that President Putin has now started.  We are not yet in a declared war, but we are as close as is possible without a proper declaration of such a relationship.  Based on where we find ourselves today, President Trump and anyone else who publicly supports Russia and its President needs to be arrested, incarcerated, and charged with Treason because they are providing aid and comfort to our enemy.  They are enemies of the United States.

I am calling on Attorney General Merrick Garland to shift any investigative efforts that may be underway into high gear and prove to the American people that nobody is above the law.
