On Thursday night the Speaker of the House of Representatives was working to get his so called “Plan B” passed by the House. When he couldn’t twist enough arms successfully, he finally withdrew the motion rather than put it to a vote presumably to avoid the embarrassment of making the members publically state their positions. Since then the Speaker and a few others have been attempting to pass the buck to the Senate and/or the White House for this dismal failure in House leadership.
Our Constitution states in Article I, Section 7, paragraph 1: “All Bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with amendments as on other Bills.”
Wow! It is pretty clear that the responsibility for starting the action to avert the “fiscal cliff” rests squarely with the House of Representatives! It is also pretty clear that the Republicans in the House are willing to see America go over the “fiscal cliff” rather than raise even a penny of new taxes on the wealthiest of the wealthy. It is hard to imagine how they could be any clearer about their position.
But wait! Don’t let the Senate off the hook to quickly because their turn will eventually come and they will prove to be just as dysfunctional. Over in the Senate there is the filibuster and a minority can bring things to a halt just by threatening to use it.
Remember, without COMPROMISE there is no DEMOCRACY.

Our citizen constitutional scholars have gathered at the bulwarks in defense of our liberty and freedom from the tyranny of politicians and judiciary.
I’m curious about your reference to tyranny relating to our judiciary?
