John Bolton’s book has brought about some interesting commentary from past and present members of the Trump Administration. “It contains highly classified information.” “It is fiction.” Can fiction be highly classified – I’m not sure, but I don’t think so. “It’s a lie!” Wow! When a known liar calls another known liar a liar, are we supposed to think of the lie as a sort of double negative and believe it as truth? That seems risky to me.
What I know in my heart is that we are not dealing with patriotic Americans here. We are dealing with profiteers of the lowest kind. These are people who will sell our National soul for their personal benefit. I think of them more in the likeness of Benedict Arnold than I do Thomas Jefferson.
I don’t know how to reliably find the truth in a stack of lies so I think I’ll pass on Mr. Bolton’s book.
